Terms of service

These terms apply when you use Code Mentor, provided by Made by Pless, CVR 36740965, Lindevænget 6, 7100 Vejle, Denmark (“we”). Contact: contact@madebypless.dk. By creating an account or using the service you accept them.

The service

Code Mentor produces AI-generated reviews of code you submit. Reviews can be incomplete or wrong. They are advice to consider, not a guarantee that code is correct, secure or fit for any purpose, and they do not replace review by a qualified person. You are responsible for what you do with them.

Your account

  • You must give a valid email address and keep your password safe.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Team plan owners are responsible for the teammates they add and may remove them at any time.

Your content

You keep all rights to the code you submit. You give us permission to process it to provide the service, including sending it to our AI model providers and storing it in your history, as described in the privacy policy. You confirm you have the right to submit it, and that it doesn't include secrets, credentials or personal data that you shouldn't share.

Acceptable use

  • No unlawful use, and no submitting content you have no right to share.
  • No attempts to disrupt or overload the service, to bypass usage limits, or to access other users' data.
  • No automated bulk use or resale of the service without agreement.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Plans, prices and payment

  • The Free plan includes a limited number of reviews per calendar month (UTC), as shown on the pricing section.
  • Hobby and Team are monthly subscriptions at the prices shown on the pricing section, excluding VAT. Any VAT that applies is added at checkout, where you see the total before paying.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe.
  • You can cancel at any time on the billing page. Your plan then continues until the end of the period you have paid for. We don't refund partial periods unless the law requires it.
  • We may change prices for future periods and will tell you in advance.

Right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. For a digital service that starts immediately, you can ask us to begin straight away; you then lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided, and if you withdraw earlier you pay for what you have already used. You confirm this with a checkbox at checkout.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Code Mentor available but don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of changes that significantly affect paying users.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, or your mandatory consumer rights. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose.

Ending your account

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may close accounts that break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as liability, do so.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes go to the Danish courts, without limiting any mandatory right a consumer has to go to the courts of their own country. EU consumers can also use the EU online dispute resolution platform.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is meaningful we will tell you in advance, and continued use after it takes effect means you accept it.
